The upper arm is a very sensitive area and even though we try to keep its shape with regular training, dangling skin may take shape as well as the skin can sag drastically with the time passes or after excessive weight loss.
Our body is vainly nice and shapely the dangling upper arm can influence our dress choice too so we avoid sleeveless tops, cloths for example
For whom we recommend
Therefore the plastic surgery of the upper arm can be recommended for everyone whose upper arm skin has sagged due to the passing time or after slimming as well as who has excess fat deposit on her arm and would like to have shapelier arms in combination with the liposuction.
Before the plastic surgery of the upper arm
Before the surgery you can discuss with your doctor why you feel need for the surgery of the upper arm, what result you would like to achieve. Then the doctor informs you about process of the plastic surgery of the upper arm, preoperative and postoperative tasks, where the scars are, how the shape of the upper arm changes and what result can be expected.
It is important for you to inform your doctor if you have any health problem (for example cardiovascular disorder, varicose, diabetes, etc.) as they influence the intervention.
The plastic surgery of the upper arm
The operation is carried out under general anesthesia during which we remove the loosened surplus skin of the upper arm, which is often needed to be completed with liposuction. The surgeon makes an incision on the middle of the inner side of the upper arm (cross or in a T shape or maybe in a straight line) then removes the excess fat and - skin. The operation itself requires 1,5 – 2 hours after which the surgeon places compression bandage on the arm.
After the plastic surgery of the upper arm
You have to spend a night in the clinic after the plastic surgery of the upper arm and wear the compression bandage for two to three weeks and the stitch removal comes after three weeks. The surgical scar is located on a less detectable place, on the inner side of the upper arm.
Physical strain has to be avoided in the next one moth after the surgery and it is recommended to stay home, relax for one to two weeks for the proper wound recovery. Few weeks after the plastic surgery of the upper arm we can show up courageously with our embellished, shapely arm in a sleeveless dress.
